Greetings unto the fair populace and friends of the Barony of Fenix.
The time for transition approaches. While the last four and a half years seem to have gone by in the blink of an eye, we are nearing the end of our term. We have chosen not to run again and will be stepping down as your Baron and Baroness as outlined by Middle Kingdom Law. We have begun the preparations for baronial polling.
The time frame for the upcoming polling will be as follows:
Our baronial seneschal will begin accepting Letters of Intent on December 1st until no later than January 1st. On January 8th, polling will begin and will be completed no later than January 29th. Once polling ends, the compiled information will be sent to Their Royal Majesties for consideration, as it is their Right and Privilege to name our successors. We hope to have word no later than April 1 once the Crown makes Their decision and an investiture date is confirmed.
As we speak of successors, please remember that many combinations are acceptable by Middle Kingdom Law; Baron and Baroness, two Barons, two Baronesses, or a single Baron or Baroness are but some examples.
Over the course of November and December, we will be available publicly or privately to talk to any who may be interested in the duties and responsibilities of this role.
